Hair loss can be stressful, and unfortunately, stress causes more hair loss. If you are experiencing a deterioration of hair health, take a deep breath and know that you are not alone. There are ways to help your hair get back to normal, but first you must figure out what is causing your hair loss in the first place. Sometimes, the cause of hair loss is not as common as stress, age, or diet. You may have an undiagnosed scalp disease that could be causing the problem. There are several scalp diseases that cause hair loss and if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, contact your doctor to get the diagnosis and treatment you need.

Psoriasis

Symptoms of psoriasis include dry, scaly skin patches that can be itchy. These patches are usually located on the elbows, back, and scalp. There are several treatments for psoriasis that can be prescribed to you by your doctor.

Tinea Capitis

Tinea capitis is a fungal infection that affects your scalp and hair shafts. It has symptoms similar to psoriasis, such as dry, flaky skin patches. However, more symptoms include scalp pain, low fever, and swollen lymph nodes.

Alopecia Areata

This disease causes your body’s immune system to attack your hair follicles, which results in hair loss. The hair loss can be seen in quarter-sized bald spots either on your scalp, on your body, or both. Sometimes, the hair loss isn’t permanent, however, when hair regrows it may fall out again.

These are only a few of the many scalp diseases that could be causing your hair loss. If you do not have a scalp disease and are experiencing hair loss, you may lack the proper vitamins and minerals needed for good hair health. The Keranique Keraviatin Hair & Scalp Health Supplement contains essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients used to promote scalp health and hair strength. Taking the time to learn about your hair and its needs is a great place to start on your journey to healthy hair.
