Curly hair is fun to have because you can do just about anything with it. You can straighten it, blow it out, and leave it natural. Having curly, frizzy hair on the other hand, is not so fun. When you experience frizzy hair, it’s really just your hair asking for more moisture. There are several ways to fix this, here’s how:

Maintain Moisture Levels

When hair frizzes it usually means that it’s demanding water. To avoid this, make sure that your hair gets enough of the moisture that it needs by using a deep conditioner once a week. Sometimes, it’s your shampoo that’s causing your curly hair to frizz.

Style While Wet

When you are conditioning your hair in the shower, brush it while it still has conditioner in it. When rinsing, leave a small amount of conditioner in your hair. Be sure to massage thoroughly to coat all your hair.

Air Dry

When most people wash their hair, they dry it with a towel. While this may speed up the drying process, it is actually causing your curls to separate, causing frizz. Put the towel down and let your hair air dry. If you must use a towel, use a micro-fiber towel, a cotton towel or even a cotton t-shirt.

Don’t Apply Heat

Applying heat can strip your hair of the moisture that you just worked so hard on making sure your hair had. If you must heat your hair, don’t use an ordinary blow dryer, use a diffuser at a low setting. It will help speed up the drying process while being gentler to your hair.

It’s important to use the right products to maintain healthy curls after you wash your hair. Keranique created the Marula oil hair mist because it contains 60% more antioxidants than Argan oil while improving manageability and smoothing frizz away. The Keranique Lift & Repair Treatment Spray is clinically proved to reduce frizz in high humidity for up to 24 hours
